MELDIN® 7001, NATURAL

Among the available thermosetting polyimides, MELDIN® 7001 is the natural base resin. This type offers the best mechanical properties and chemical resistance. MELDIN® 7001 is ideal for applications requiring electrical and thermal insulation. More ductile than ceramics and lighter than metals, it is a widely chosen material for aerospace components and applications where metal replacement is preferred.

MELDIN® 7021

MELDIN® 7021 is the self-lubricating formulation with the highest PV rating. It contains 15% graphite by weight, encapsulated in the base polyimide resin. Thanks to its low coefficient of friction and high-temperature resistance (up to 900°F [482°C]), MELDIN® 7021 is the best choice for bearings and seals operating at both high and medium temperatures.

MELDIN® 7022

Loaded with 40% graphite, MELDIN® 7022 offers enhanced dimensional stability and the lowest coefficient of thermal expansion compared to other MELDIN® types.

MELDIN® 7211

MELDIN® 7211 is filled with 15% graphite and 10% PTFE, providing the lowest coefficient of friction among the MELDIN® series.

MELDIN® 7003

MELDIN® 7003 contains 15% molybdenum disulfide, making it suitable for demanding applications, such as those involving vacuum conditions or extremely dry environments
